2016-17 is a Season of Discovery!

The Center for the Performing Arts has something to discover season after season. Share your discoveries at the Center’s welcome table in the lobby and via social media by using #MyDiscovery

John and Jennifer Robbins shared their #DiscoveryStory with us prior to our 16/17 Season Announcement. See more below and stay tuned all season to hear what people are discovering at the Center!

How have you been involved at the Center in the last 5 seasons?

Having attended more than 30 shows at the Center, we have had the opportunity to see a wide range of performances since the campus opened its doors. We had the privilege of serving as the 2015 Gala Auction Committee Chair (Jennifer) and as Vice President of The Scene, the Center’s Young Professional group (John). We were recently lucky enough to join fellow foodies and special guest Pat McAfee on the Palladium stage for an intimate celebrity chef dinner. A true delight!

What have you discovered at the Center?

We’ve realized that the Center is more than a venue—it’s a place where our love for the performing arts and our local community intersect. We can support local restaurants for dinner before the show and experience outstanding performances in a world class venue, all while running into many familiar faces and friends from our Carmel and Central Indiana communities.

What has been your favorite memory at the Center?

We saw BB King live on the Palladium stage, just a couple years before he passed away. A true legend and an unforgettable experience.

How have you been most inspired while on campus at the Center?

We love any opportunity to see artists at the peak of their craft. The people who take the stage at any of the Center’s venues have worked tirelessly to perfect their art. We are always in awe and are inspired by their talent and dedication.

What would you invite your friends to discover for themselves?

There really is something for everyone. Whether it’s an intimate performance or an energetic packed house, the Center offers a range of opportunities to celebrate the arts right in our own backyard.

What are you excited to discover next season?

We’re keeping our fingers crossed for the announcements of the Jazz series—the past few seasons have been phenomenal!
