Venues & Spaces

Rising high on the Carmel skyline with its domed European style design, the Palladium has captured the attention of residents and visitors alike. The four-fronted, symmetrical design with its limestone facades and columns offers a timeless elegance and an unparalleled setting for your special event. Inside, your guests will be inspired by the Palladium’s dramatic lobbies with their grand staircases and chandeliers, the well-appointed gathering rooms, balcony terrace and elegant stage platform. Choose from the Palladium Stage Platform or one of seven distinct spaces to accommodate anywhere from 50 to 150 guests, or consider combining two or more spaces for larger gatherings.

The Palladium Stage Platform

(2,100 – 2,600 square feet, depending on the configuration; 175-200 standing room/120-150 seated dinner): Our 1600-seat concert hall can be the backdrop for an elegant dinner on the stage. The stage’s rich Brazilian cherry wood floors create a warm ambience, highlighted by the concert hall’s glass canopies and acoustically sensitive curtains above. Elaborately detailed, handcrafted plaster walls and majestic columns will give your event a classic feel beyond anything you’ve experienced.

Robert Adam Room

(1,700 square feet; 150 standing room/136 seated dinner): Overlooking the Monon Trail, the Palladium’s Robert Adam Room is a perfect site for your party, celebration or wedding reception. The room’s soaring ceiling will add a touch of luxury to your event.

Founders Room

(Three rooms totaling 1,667 square feet; 150 standing room/96 seated dinner): This elaborate space can handle your most elegant function. Local interior designer and artist Walter Knabe, who created the center’s custom wall design, also designed the inimitable wallpaper lining the Founders Room. Retractable door panels may be opened to overlook the West Lobby.   This space also overlooks the Carmel Clay Veterans Memorial Plaza, a memorial to our country’s veterans.

West Lobby

(1,474 square feet; 125 standing room/96 seated dinner): Italian marble floors line this square space, which also features a square vaulted ceiling. Overlooking Third Avenue SW, the West Lobby offers the added convenience of easy accessibility – the Palladium valet can drop off your guests right at the lobby entrance!

East Lobby

(1796 square feet; 150 standing room/104 seated dinner): Perfect for a small wedding or other special celebration, the East Lobby features a completely symmetrical circular dome with plaster columns extending from the floor to the ceiling. Italian marble floors add timeless elegance in this classic space. An outdoor plaza can be incorporated in temperate weather, allowing guests to spill out and usher the bride and groom inside on their happy day.

South Lobby

(1869 square feet; 200 standing room/128 seated dinner): Overlooking the Center Green, the South Lobby is a study in elegance and historic ambiance. Italian marble floors and three eight-foot-tall chandeliers highlight the lobby, which also features a coiffure ceiling for gentle lighting options.

Shiel Sexton Songbook Lounge

(1,409 square feet; 100-150 standing room/96 seated dinner): Located on the top level of the Palladium, guests can enjoy the elegance of the elaborate chandeliers and unique art niches. Step outside to the balcony for a sweeping view of the Center Green and the Tarkington and Studio Theaters.

The Tarkington

With its exterior arches and columns, the 500-seat Tarkington Theater has a timeless classic look that sets the perfect tone for your event. Need a smaller space? Consider the Tarkington Theater’s Schaefer Gray Board Room, which offers room for 25, or the Tarkington Lobby or Knebel Room, both offering space for a cocktail reception or sit-down dinner with stunning view of the Center Green and Palladium.

The Studio Theater

The 200-seat Studio theater has a sleek and modern air. Rent it alone or in combination with the Tarkington Theater for your next board meeting, dinner, or special presentation.
