About Paul Swartz
Paul Swartz lives in Indianapolis and develops basketball players around the area. He attended the University of West Florida and majored in Physical Education. Paul then moved to Indianapolis to work under the mentorship of Dave Manzer and Ed Schilling, founders of Champions Academy, as they prepared Mike Conely, Greg Oden, Dequan Cook and Carl Landry for their rookie year in the NBA. Paul then returned to Florida to coach at Pensacola State College and then Delta State University in Mississippi.

Soon after coaching in Mississippi, Paul moved back to Indianapolis to work full time for Ed Schilling at Champions Academy. While under Ed’s guidance, Paul was able to help his development skills in all areas of the game such as ball handling, proper footwork, and game time decision making. Paul utilized these skills to train athletes such as Patrick Patterson, Gordon Hayward, Jeff Teague, Yogi Farrell, and Trevon Bluiett as they advanced their level of play whether it be to Division 1 or NBA level of play. While in Indianapolis, along with working at Champions Academy, he has had the opportunity to be on the coaching staffs at local high schools such as Shortridge, Mount Vernon and Park Tudor. His attention to detail, passion for the game and helping others will elevate your game to the next level.
